Will VP Biden Join Congress in Impeaching Obama?

In 2007 the Senator from Delaware Joe Biden was interviewed by Chris Matthews on Hardball where he repeatedly said  ” If the president were to invade Iran without Congressional approval-that is an impeachable offense ” The president Joe Biden referred to was President George W. Bush.  Since the day he uttered those words it is President Obama who has actually committed this act which Biden once called treasonous may now be facing Specifically, Article I, Section 8, of the Constitution reserves for Congress alone the power to declare war, a restriction that has been sorely tested in recent years, including Obama’s authorization of military force in Libya.

Walter B. Jones Jr., R-N.C., introduced the House concurrent resolution 107 declaring that if the president uses offensive military force without authorization of an act of Congress, “it is the sense of Congress” that such an act would be “an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor.”

Former US Congressional Rep Tom Tancredo told WND he believed Jones introduced the bill because of Secretary of Defenses Leon Panetta’s policy statement which would  ”violate the Constitution.” Defense Secretary Leon Panetta’s testimony asserting that the United Nations and NATO have supreme authority over the actions of the United States military. Those words  effectively declared Congress a ceremonial relic. Tancredo said that is what he believes prompted Congressman Walter Jones to introduce a resolution that re-affirms such behavior as an “impeachable high crime and misdemeanor” under the Constitution, specifically, Article I, Section 8, of the Constitution reserves for Congress alone has the auhority to declare war, a restriction that has been sorely tested in recent years, including Obama’s authorization of military force in Libya.

My question still stands. Mr Biden if Congress should declare President Obamas behavior an impeachable offense, will you support congress?

Obama is a puppet. He is anti-American. He is not up to the Presidency. And, things from his past are obviously being hidden, likely including significant character flaws.

The result of all this is that, as a puppet, he is easy to control. If he does something that looks like it might be good for America, there is an ulterior motive on the part of those who pull his strings.

People that voted for him thought he was “progressive”. I read the socialist websites; they hate him, and accuse him of being like Bush, whom they also hated. Obama first sold out the gays by being against gay marriage, then he sold out the religious wing of the neolib blacks by coming out in favor of it. The problem with the “left” is that it is such a loose coalition of groups with such radical – and radically different – agendas that promoting group’s agenda means knifing another group. Yet, these radical groups will support him, because, like Bill Clinton, he is more likely to flip-flop, pander, and be manipulated into their direction than a RINO.

Pandering to the Jewish part of the electorate, he tries to do some things that give the appearance of helping Israel. However, his secret hatred for Israel and America manifests itself in how he supports Islamic extremists, even going to the extent of intervening militarily so they win in Libya.

Somebody wants war with Iran, and that somebody does not want it because he thinks it will be good for Israel or America. Obama, a product of Chicago organized crime, became a puppet of those transnational interests that operate regardless of legality or morality. They want hostilities between the US and Israel, on one side, and Iran on the other. And, I think I am beginning to see why…

The United States has not formally declared war since World War II. Under Article I, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution, Thus, if Obama were impeached, then Reagan, Bush, Clinton, and Bush should have been also. All sent military forces into battle without approval per the War Powers Act. In fact, Reagan was quite clear – no one had the right to decide that other than the President and made it clear, through his words, he had no intention of allowing Congress to restrain him.

Further, if the GOP tries a repeat of Clinton’s second term, they will not be trusted with power for decades. So, be careful what you wish for. You wouldn’t win, and your party would be sent back to the stone age. Say goodbye to 2014 and 2016.

    • Rosie says:

President Bush got approval to go into Iraq.

      • The Anti Fox says:

He did, as a defined action. It was not the Congress declaring war per the Constitution.

However, as we now know, he did so under false pretense. Talking points were provided to Condoleezza Rice and Colin Powell, who together, and on behalf of the United States, informed the U.N. and the Congress that there was eminent danger from WMD which justified the first pre-emptive attack made by the United States on IRAQ.

There was no outcry from the Right, no calls for investigations, and no request that Bush be impeached (from the right), no character assassination of Ms. Rice or General Powell.

3,000 deaths on American soil, predicted and reviewed by Bush; ignored. 10,000 deaths and over 35,000 wounded, and the Right finds this the equivalent of an attack, killing 4, in Benghazi.

While tragic, there is no comparison. I think it’s time the Right realized why they lost the election. Beyond the fact that our guy delivered, despite the GOP and TP putting their agenda’s above the needs of the nation,

The GOP and Tea Party are still soaked in the stench of the Bush Administration. And That stench will not go away until the GOP renounces his failures rather than continuing to embrace them.
