50 Things you Should Know About Our Economy.

The U.S. economy was once the greatest economic machine in modern history.  It was truly a wonder to behold. It worked so well that entire generations of Americans came to believe that America would enjoy boundless prosperity indefinitely. It was that optimism which I believe is a hindrance to Americans today. Many are not paying attention or think that somehow it will all turn around in the end. I know this because I speak to family and friends about the economic problems our country is facing, but all I get is worried expressions that last about a minute, then it’s back to the mundane routines of life.

Facts speak for themselves. It is a fact that none of the systemic problems that contributed to the 2008 collapse have been fixed. Mark Mobius, the head of the emerging markets desk at Templeton Asset Management, was recently was quoted in Forbes Magazine as saying the following: “There is definitely going to be another financial crisis around the corner because we haven’t solved any of the things that caused the previous crisis.”  He makes that statement because the financial reforms  law that President Barack Obama and the Democrat Congress passed a while back was a complete and total joke. Laws to make us feel good that SOMETHING was getting done on our behalf but do nothing to fix the problems.

Meanwhile on Mainstreet economic woes continue, job losses continue but STILL the people slumber. Continued prosperity is not guaranteed for any nation, and yet the people continue to believe everything will be ok.  In past several decades, some very alarming long-term economic trends have developed that are absolutely destroying the economy.  If dramatic changes are not made soon, a complete and total economic collapse will be unavoidable. Unfortunately, American people will never agree to the changes needed to our economic and financial systems without fully understanding what is causing the problems we are in.  We have turned our backs on the economic principles which work. Ignored the warning signs, and rejected wisdom handed down to us by the founding fathers of our nation..

You’ve heard it before ‘those who sow to the wind, shall reap the whirlwind.’ We are going deeper into an economic whirlwind brought upon us by people who we trusted in political office to act on our behalf. It didn’t start with this President but I think the continued spending by this administration is the catalyst which will take us over the edge.  Here are some things to know:

 

#1 Do you remember how much was made of the “Misery Index” during the presidency of Jimmy Carter?  At that time, the “Misery Index” was constantly making headlines in newspapers all across the country.  Well, according to John Williams of Shadow Government Statistics, if we calculated unemployment and inflation the same way that we did during the Carter administration, then the Misery Index today would actually be higher than at any point during the presidency of Jimmy Carter.

#2 According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, an average of about 5 million Americans were being hired every single month during 2006.  Today, an average of about 3.5 million Americans are being hired every single month.

#3 According to the Wall Street Journal, there are 5.5 million Americans that are currently unemployed and yet are not receiving unemployment benefits.

#4 All over America, state and local governments are selling off buildings just to pay the bills.  Investors can now buy up government-owned power plants, prisons and municipal buildings from coast to coast. For example, the mayor of Newark, New Jersey recently sold off 16 government buildings (including the police and fire headquarters) just to pay some bills.

#5 When Americans think of “government debt”, most of them only think of the federal government, but it is not just the federal government that has a massive debt problem.  State and local government debt has reached an all-time high of22 percent of U.S. GDP.

#6 If you can believe it, one out of every seven Americans  has at least 10 credit cards.

#7 Credit card usage in the United States is on the increase once again.  During the month of March, revolving consumer credit jumped 2.9%.  Sadly, it looks like Americans have not learned their lessons about the dangers of credit card debt.

#8 Last year, Social Security ran a deficit for the first time since 1983, and the “Social Security deficits” in future years are projected to be absolutely horrific.

#9 The U.S. government now says that the Medicare trust fund will run out five years faster than they were projecting just last year.

#10 Right now we are watching what could potentially be the worst Mississippi River flood ever recorded play out right in front of our eyes.  One agricultural economist at Mississippi State University believes that this disaster could do 2 billion dollars of damage just to farms alone.

#11 The “tornadoes of 2011” that we just saw in the southeast United States are being called the worst natural disaster that the U.S. has seen since Hurricane Katrina.  It has been estimated that up to 25 percent of all of the poultry houses in Alabama were either significantly damaged or destroyed.  It is also believed that millions of birds were killed.

#12 The economic effects of the BP oil spill just seem to go on and on and on.  The number of very sick fish in the Gulf of Mexico is really starting to alarm scientists.  The following is how one local newspaper recently described the situation….

Scientists are alarmed by the discovery of unusual numbers of fish in the Gulf of Mexico and inland waterways with skin lesions, fin rot, spots, liver blood clots and other health problems.

#13 The number of “low income jobs” in the U.S. has risen steadily over the past 30 years and they now account for 41 percent of all jobs in the United States.

#14 All over America, hospitals that care for the poor and needy are so overwhelmed and are so broke that they are being forced to shut down.  Recently a local newspaper in Florida ran an article about two prominent charity hospitals in Illinois that have served the poor for more than 100 years but are now asking for permission to shut down….

Two charity hospitals in Illinois are facing a life-or-death decision. There’s not much left of either of them – one in Chicago’s south suburbs, the other in impoverished East St. Louis – aside from emergency rooms crowded with patients seeking free care. Now they would like the state’s permission to shut down.

#15 The U.S. dollar is in such bad shape that now even Steve Forbes is predicting that the U.S. is “likely” to go back to a gold standard within the next five years.

#16 Most Americans don’t realize how much the U.S. dollar has been devalued over the years.  An item that cost $20.00 in 1970 would cost you $115.93 today.  An item that cost $20.00 in 1913 would cost you $454.36 today.

#17 Over the past 12 months the average price of gasoline in the United States has gone up by about 30%.

#18 U.S. oil companies will bring in about $200 billion in pre-tax profits this year.  They will also receive about $4.4 billion in specialized tax breaks from the U.S. government.

#19 It is being projected that for the first time ever, the OPEC nations are going to bring in over a trillion dollars from exporting oil this year.  Their biggest customer is the United States.

#20 According to the Pentagon, there are minerals worth over a trillion dollars under the ground in Afghanistan.  Now, J.P. Morgan is starting to tap those riches with the help of the U.S. military.

#21 Speaking of J.P. Morgan, most Americans don’t realize that they are actually the largest processor of food stamp benefits in the United States.  In fact, the more Americans that go on food stamps the more money that J.P. Morgan makes.

#22 When 2007 began, there were about 26 million Americans on food stamps.  Today, there are over 44 million on food stamps, and one out of every four American children is on food stamps.

#23 Back in 1965, only one out of every 50 Americans was on Medicaid.  Today, one out of every 6 Americans is on Medicaid.

#24 Only 66.8% of American men had a job last year.  That was the lowest level that has ever been recorded in all of U.S. history.

#25 The financial system is more vulnerable today than it was back in 2008 before the financial panic. Today, the world financial system has been turned into a giant financial casino where bets are made on just about anything you can possibly imagine, and the major Wall Street banks make a ton of money from this betting system.  The system is largely unregulated (the new “Wall Street reform” law has only changed this slightly) and it is totally dominated by the big international banks. The danger from derivatives is so great that Warren Buffet once called them “financial weapons of mass destruction”. It is estimated that the “derivatives bubble” is somewhere in the neighborhood of a quadrillion dollars, and once it pops there isn’t going to be enough money in the entire world to bail everyone out.

#26 Between December 2000 and December 2010, the United States ran a total trade deficit of 6.1 trillion dollars with the rest of the world, and the U.S. has had a negative trade balance every single year since 1976.

#27 The United States has lost an average of 50,000 manufacturing jobs per month since China joined the World Trade Organization in 2001, and the U.S. trade deficit with China is now 27 times larger than it was back in 1990.

#28 In 2010, the number one U.S. export to China was “scrap and trash”.

#29 All over the United States, many of our once great manufacturing cities are being transformed into hellholes.  In the city of Detroit today, there are over 33,000 abandoned houses, 70 schools are being permanently closed down, the mayor wants to bulldoze one-fourth of the city and you can literally buy a house for one dollar in the worst areas.

#30 During the first three months of this year, less new homes were sold in the U.S. than in any three month period ever recorded.

#31 New home sales in the United States are now down 80% from the peak in July 2005.

#32 America’s real estate crisis just seems to get worse and worse.  U.S. home prices have now fallen a whopping 33% from where they were at during the peak of the housing bubble.

#33 According to a new report from the AFL-CIO, the average CEO made 343 times more money than the average American did last year.

#34 The European debt crisis could cause a global financial collapse like the one that we saw in 2008 at any time.  The world economy is incredibly interconnected today, and the United States would not be immune.  A recent IMF report stated the following about the growing sovereign debt crisis in Europe….

Strong policy responses have successfully contained the sovereign debt and financial-sector troubles in the euro area periphery so far. But contagion to the core euro area and then onward to emerging Europe remains a tangible risk.

#35 According to one study, the 50 U.S. state governments are collectively 3.2 trillion dollars short of what they need to meet their pension obligations.

#36 A different study has shown that individual Americans are $6.6 trillion short of what they need to retire comfortably.

#37 The cost of college tuition in the United States has gone up by over 900 percent since 1978.

#38 According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis, health care costs accounted for just 9.5% of all personal consumption back in 1980.  Today they account for approximately 16.3%.

#39 One study found that approximately 41 percent of working age Americans either have medical bill problems or are currently paying off medical debt.

#40 The combined debt of the major GSEs (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Sallie Mae) has increased from 3.2 trillion in 2008 to 6.4 trillion in 2011.  Thanks to our politicians, U.S. taxpayers are standing behind that debt.

#41 The U.S. government is over 14 trillion dollars in debt and the budget deficit for this year is projected to be about 1.5 trillion dollars.  However, if the U.S. government was forced to use GAAP accounting principles (like all publicly-traded corporations must), the U.S. government budget deficit would be somewhere in the neighborhood of $4 trillion to $5 trillion each and every year.

#42 Most Americans don’t understand that the Federal Reserve and the debt-based monetary system that it runs are at the very heart of our economic problems.  All of this debt is absolutely crushing us.  The U.S. government spentover 413 billion dollars on interest on the national debt during fiscal 2010, and it is being projected that the U.S. government will be shelling out 900 billion dollars just in interest on the national debt by the year 2019.

#43 Standard & Poor has altered its outlook on U.S. government debt from “stable” to “negative” and has lowered the U.S credit rating from AAA to AA

#44 In 1980, government transfer payments accounted for just 11.7% of all income.  Today, government transfer payments account for 18.4% of all income.

#45 U.S. households are now receiving more income from the U.S. governmentthan they are paying to the government in taxes.

#46 59 percent of all Americans now receive money from the federal government in one form or another.

#47 According to Gallup, 41 percent of Americans believed that the economy was “getting better” at this time last year.  Today, that number is at just 27 percent.

#48 The wealthiest 1% of all Americans now own more than a third of all the wealth in the United States.

#49 The poorest 50% of all Americans collectively own just 2.5% of all the wealth in the United States.

#50 The percentage of millionaires in Congress is more than 50 times higher than the percentage of millionaires in the general population.

Will the U.S stand with Israel when the Caliphate is Established?

It’s been almost a year ago to the date. On Feb 1,2011 Glenn Beck announced to the world that the RADICALS, ISLAMIST, COMMUNISTS, and SOCIALISTS,  would work together against Israel, and against capitalism, and would work together to overturn stability. Now nearly a year later their dream of establishing a Caliphate has almost come to fruition. All you have to do is read the newspapers from around the world and you notice the headlines sound more and more as if the Islamist are taking over the world. Egypt Islamist secure 75% of their Parliament. The Middle East now is closer to starting their Caliphate. Today, Tuesday January 31,2012; Egypt’s newly elected lawmakers took aim at the country’s military rulers, accusing them of trampling on democratic norms and overstepping their powers by passing laws, including a crucial one regulating presidential elections. Led by the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood movement, the parliament is the first elected since the fall of President Hosni Mubarak last February. Since its founding in 1928, the Muslim Brotherhood (Hizb al-Ikhwan al-Muslimun) has profoundly influenced the political life of the Middle East. Its motto is telling: “Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. The Qur’an ( Koran ) is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.” This is the group who is eager to assert its authority in the face of the powerful military council that took power after Mubarak’s fall and is in charge of managing the country’s transition to civilian rule.

Lawmaker Mohammed el-Beltagy, a member of the Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party, called the generals’ decision to unilaterally pass the election law politically “unjustified” and said parliament must make clear that it is the country’s sole legislative power. ”Let it be a clear message to the Egyptian street that the parliament has become the only and unchallenged legislative authority,” el-Beltagy told lawmakers. The Muslim Brotherhood will establish Shari’a Law in Egypt and when it does Egypt will be just like Iran. My concern is for the young people of Egypt who will not like this new way of life. If the Islamist take over. This WILL usher in the Caliphate that President Ahmadinejad has long been praying for, and this can only mean less freedoms for the moderates in the Middle East and more danger for Israel. The stated goal of the Muslim Brotherhood, and the radicals of Islam is to establish a worldwide Caliphate to rule under Shari’a Law, and covert all Infidels. Infidels means unbelievers. The way of the Qur’an is clear. Covert or die. A Caliphate means war will yet again likely break out and all those peace loving liberals will be disappointed because our country will be at war again. To them I say this. Isn’t it better to avoid a war with Iran by not allowing them to have nukes?

 

Today Florida votes for a GOP nominee. The U.S needs a president who will stand with Israel. A president who will stop Iran form developing Nucleaur weapons. Americans this is your time to stand firm in what you believe and vote accordingly. Every time we vote, I say it is the most important vote of my time, but this time….it really is.

Third Party Effort Guarantees Obama Win?

A mysteriously funded, highly organized effort to secure the ballot for a third party candidate in this year’s election has ties to President Obama and top Democrats, KleinOnline has learned.

The group, calling itself Americans Elect, or AE, seems designed to appear like a massive, grassroots effort involving millions of citizens acting to draft a third party candidate.

However, the organization’s voting process has been called into question while there are concerns AE’s bylaws may allow the group’s own board members to bypass votes and nominate their own candidate.

AE describes itself as “a non-partisan, non-profit organization founded by Americans from across the political spectrum who are worried that our nation’s deep political divisions keep big problems from being solved.”

AE seeks to hold its own nominating convention on the Internet this June to select an independent presidential and vice-presidential candidate. The group says any registered voter can sign up to participate in the June convention.

AE has reportedly raised more than $22 million so far and has already been certified to be placed on the ballot in 12 states now, including California.

To getting on state ballots, AE evidenced mass organizing skills. The group says it collected over 2 million signatures nationwide in its effort to get on state ballots.

KleinOnline found that two of AE’s board members, Kellen Arno and Michael Arno, were paid by the group for helping to run the massive signature gathering drive via their firm, Arno Political Consultants.

Arno’s firm, APC, has previously reportedly been accused of forging signatures and collecting signatures using fraud.

In 2004, APC was accused of forging signatures on a petition to legalize slot machines in Miami-Dade and Broward counties.

The next year, Boston’s Fox 25 News ran a feature interviewing paid signature collectors hired by APC through subcontractors. The interviewees said they were trained on how to trick people into signing a petition using fraud, including by switching the actual petition text after each signature was collected.

In 2007, APC reportedly hired JSM, Inc. who in turn hired independent contractors who gave snacks and food to homeless people in exchange for signing petitions and registering to vote.

Then 2009, APC gathered signatures to put the Ohio Casino Initiative on the November 3, 2009 ballot, but a subsequent review reportedly found the overall validity of the signatures were certified at just under 51%.

AE, meanwhile, was reportedly originally associated with another group that sought an independent candidate. That organization, calling itself Unity08, eventually suspended operations citing organizing and fundraising issues.

Unity08 said it did not back any particular candidate, but two of its founders launched their own national effort to draft New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg to run for president

The Irregular Times documented how AE and Unity 08 shared the same Washington D.C. address. Previously, Unity08 shared its address with the Draft Bloomberg Committee.

Irregular Times also found that the founders of Unity08 “registered the domain name draftmichaelbloomberg.com in 2007 at a time when Unity08 was insisting that it had no candidates in mind.”

Mysterious funding

AE’s funding has been called into question.

In late 2010, AE changed its tax status from a tax-exempt group to what is known as a 501(c)(4), or social-welfare organization, which is not required to show its donor list.

Capital Weekly reported that prior to the change, in the second and third quarters of 2010, AE’s more than $1.5 million in funding came from one person – venture capitalist, Unity08 activist and Obama donor, Peter Ackerman.

Ackerman reportedly gave AE a total of at least $5 million in seed money.  Many of AE’s other donors are unknown.

AE officials have defended their secretive donor collection practices.

“We have to be able to raise significant amounts of money to be able to take on the status quo,” Kahlil Byrd, AE’s chief executive officer, told Mother Jones last November.

Byrd said that if his group were compelled to disclose its donors, there would be “a chilling effect…on people’s willingness to participate in this process.”

Democracy 21 and the Campaign Legal Center, two campaign finance watchdogs, requested in September the IRS investigate Americans Elect’s charging they may be violating nonprofit status by function like a political party.

Voting issues

Finances are not the only source of controversy.

Mother Jones reported that AE’s Internet voting system has been called into question.

Pamela Smith, president of VerifiedVoting.org, a voters’ advocacy group, argued AE’s reliance on Internet voting is insecure and difficult to audit.

“If you allow it to be used in public elections without assurance that the results are verifiably accurate, that is an extraordinary and unnecessary risk to democracy,” she says.

Regardless of the results, there are concerns that current guidelines reportedly allow AE to anoint its own candidate.

Salon.com reporter Justin Elliott noted candidates chosen by voters must be approved by a Candidate Certification Committee, which according to the group’s bylaws consist of AE’s board members.

The Committee, according to the bylaws obtained by Salon, will need to certify a “balanced ticket obligation” consisting og candidates who are “responsive to the vast majority of citizens while remaining independent of special interests and the partisan interests of either major political party.”

In response, AE official Darry Sragow told Salon’s Elliot that his group’s guidelines are subject to change.

Sragow went on to defend AE’s board, even likening them to the Founding Fathers.

“While we don’t mean to put the board in the company of the Founding Fathers, we’d point out that nobody picked the Founding Fathers, either,” Sragow stated.

“They took it upon themselves to turn a popular dream into a shared reality. And they, too, had debates over how much control should be centralized. They knew that too much power in the hands of too few isn’t real democracy, but that power too diffuse is anarchy.”

Obama backers

KleinOnline reviewed AE’s board, finding multiple ties to Obama while some Republicans also graced the committee.

Besides Ackerman, an Obama donor who gave money to help start AE, the advisory board includes Lawrence Lessig, an Obama technology adviser.

Lessig has been mentioned as a future candidate to head the Federal Communications Commission, the FCC. He is an activist for reduced legal restrictions on copyright material and advised Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign.

AE’s CEO, Kahlil Byrd, has drawn scrutiny from conservatives because he formerly served as Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick’s Communications Director. Patrick’s chief strategist was top Obama strategist David Axelrod.

AE board member W. Bowman Cutter is senior adviser to the Podesta Group lobbying and public relations firm, which was founded by John Podesta, who directed Obama’s transition into the White House in 2008.

Podesta is director of the Center for American Progress, which is reportedly highly influential in helping to craft White House policy.

A Time magazine article profiled the influence of Podesta’s Center for American Progress in the formation of the Obama administration, stating that “not since the Heritage Foundation helped guide Ronald Reagan’s transition in 1981 has a single outside group held so much sway.”

Meanwhile, AE’s board also includes former John McCain aide Mark McKinnon, Will Marshall of the Progressive Policy Institute, former New Jersey governor Christine Todd Whitman, Larry Diamond of the Hoover Institute, and former Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair.

AE also has ties to Hillary Clinton supporters.

Lynn Forester de Rothschild, who is a prominent Hillary Clinton backer, is on the board, as is Doug Schoen, a former pollster and adviser to Bill Clinton.

Schoen was recently in the news after he teamed up with Jimmy Carter​’s former aid Patrick  to publish an editorial in the Wall Street Journal last month, entitled “The Hillary Moment,” in which they called for Clinton to throw her hat into the ring for the presidency.

The two wrote another piece at Politico.com calling for Democratic voters nationally — particularly in New Hampshire — to organize a write-in campaign for Clinton.

Obama’s Alternate Universe – Weak U.S Military Makes World a “Safer Place.”

President Barack Obama traveled to the Pentagon last Thursday to announce that the “tide of war is receding” for the United States, thereby justifying massive cuts to the U.S. military. “In short, we’ve succeeded in defending our nation, taking the fight to our enemies, reducing the number of Americans in harm’s way, and we’ve restored America’s global leadership. That makes us safer and it makes us stronger.” Mr. President what alter universe do you live in?

Iran finds itself on the front page of America’s newspapers, this time with news that the rogue regime has sentenced a U.S. citizen to death for working for the CIA and that it has started refining uranium deep inside a mountain bunker. The type of uranium not used for electricity.  In the meantime Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is launching a week-long trip through South America in order to bolster ties with his allies in the region in hopes of strengthening the country’s challenge to the United States.

This news comes just after a series of Iranian threats to close the Strait of Hormuz–a provocative move that would cut off a quarter of the world’s energy supply and wreak havoc on the global economy. Of course, on top of this verbal threat, Iran is continuing its pursuit of nuclear weapons despite an uproar from the international community.

President Obama, though, did not mention the Iranian threat, North Korea’s new 28-year-old leader whose finger rests on a nuclear trigger, and the growing dominance of China as a regional power. In other words, the President is pursuing a strategy to cut the U.S. military by a half-trillion dollars over ten years based on the argument that the world is a safer place, yet he is totally ignoring the very real threats around the world today. Defense expert Mackenzie Eaglen explains how the military plans to cope with the resulting reduction in funding and forces, one component of which includes a “strategic pivot” from southwest Asia to East Asia in order to counter a rising China:

Pentagon leaders plan to skirt the lack of capabilities through an increased reliance on National Guard and reserve forces–the same men and women who are worn out from a decade of multiple tours overseas. DoD plans to assume more risk in the active component and the capabilities that are available immediately in the event of conflict or crisis. Examples include heavy armor brigades and tactical fighter wings.

Another tenet of the “pivot” to Asia is the transition from a military focused on manpower-intensive counterinsurgency to the light footprint doctrine of counterterrorism. Panetta has mentioned unmanned or remotely piloted aircraft, cyber, and special forces as key areas that must be protected from budget cuts. They may even get more money.

Of course, the Pentagon will do its best to answer the call to duty under the limitations that the White House imposes. But that does not mean that it will be as well-equipped as it could and should be to defend the United States, at home and abroad. As Heritage’s James Carafano writes, “It is completely unreasonable for the White House to argue the world has changed so much that we can just do all this with less.” That is especially true given the threats that are lurking around the corner from the likes of Iran, North Korea, and China. When choosing a President in 2012 Americans should ask themselves. Who understands the world we live in the most? Who understands the US constitution the best? Who will defend me, my property ad my country the best?

Herman Cain still the Front Runner despite Hatchet Job by Politco

I beg to differ with Larry Sabato. I would say; not that Herman Cain has been lucky but that he is rather a man who has nothing to hide, and always tells it like it is. That seems more likely to be the reason Cain is weathering this storm. There is something about Herman Cain which is pleasantly surprising about someone running for political office. Could it be his affable manner? Or maybe it is the way he just won’t back down.

According to veteran political analyst,  Dr. Larry Sabato. “Hermain Cain is surviving the growing sexual harassment controversy because he has been lucky so far,” In an exclusive interview, Dr. Sabato told Newsmax, “Compared to other sex scandals, Cain has been lucky here. As of yet there is no woman who has stepped forward to put a face on the allegations.”

Although it is true that t is very difficult for anyone outside press insiders who’ve seen the relevant documents to know what we’re even talking about. This Republican presidential candidate who still leads the latest polls despite the scandal has not backed down from his accusers, has not canceled any of his previously scheduled interviews. In other words he is acting like a man with nothing to hide, and I think that has helped him a great deal.

This controversy exploded last Sunday night when Politico came out with a story in which it said two women had reached settlements with the National Restaurant Association in the late 1990s when Cain was head of the group.

The report said the women complained Cain had acted inappropriately towards them.In an interview with Fox News this week, Cain said he has never engaged in sexual harassment. He said that in the case of one female employee, he had believed she had received what amounted to a termination of services settlement based on her job performance, but that he knew nothing about a sexual harassment settlement.

I happen to know first hand how insurance companies settle all the time without even telling you what is going on. I once had a customer trip over a parking stop while arguing and yelling on her phone she wasn’t watching where she was going and tripped though her own negligence she tripped! She sued my insurance company. and the payed her off.  I had no knowledge about it. How she got my insurance information is a mystery to me. I can only guess she called one of my locations and was given the name of the insurance company I used or she called the office and spoke to some low level asssitant who gave up the information up, but didnt think it was important to inform me about the call.  Never the less the point I am making is this: Without so much as a phone call to me; my insurance company paid her $43,000.00. That could easily have been the case here in this alligation against Herman Cain.

When I found out about the settlement I inquired with my agent. The agent just said. “We settle rather than go to court in many cases it is in your best interest to do that.” I was very upset because I felt settling is an admission of guilt on my part and I knew our company did nothing wrong.

 

Insurance agencies are quick to settle the matter for fear a drawn out legal matter will cost them endless attorney fees where a well thought out settlement is a sure thing in terms of certainty of cash output.

It has since been reported by Politico that sexual assault allegations during Cain’s tenure as NRA CEO led to at least two settlements with employees, including one for $45,000 and another for over $30, 000.

The story which surfaced last Sunday night triggered a wave of fingerpointing with the Cain campaign blaming Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s camp for leaking the allegations to Politico. and the Perry camp denying that claim and then blaming Mitt Romney’s campaign for leaking it, a claim his camp also denies.

A much anticipated interview on Fox News last night with Gloria Cain didn’t happen, Cain’s wife decided to not do the interview but said she might do it in the future. Herman Cain should not be blamed for what Mrs. Cain will or will not do after all; do you really expect the wife to go on camera after this? I would not expect Herman Cain to make his wife appear on camera and have to answer to something she not only had no party to but would be humiliated by. Those who say it is a faux pas for Mrs. Cain to have canceled the interview are not thinking clearly.  It think it was totally appropriate for her to do what makes her comfortable and for Mr. Can to allow his wife to make that decision.

In his article Sabato said “It was hoped by many she would have shed some new light on the story.” To me, that does not seem reasonable.

About the allegations, Sabato emphasized, “Apparently, no actual sex is involved – just language or come-on lines. If this is all there is, and if no woman comes forward, then Cain has probably survived this unusual episode.”

“He’s both gained and lost as a result. Many Republicans have come to his defense, comparing Cain’s apparently lesser transgressions to Bill Clinton’s much more extensive ones involving many women – just to cite one example,”  Sabato added. He also points out, ” His fundraising is up, his backers have criticized him overtly about this.” This coming Thursday will be the first GOP presidential debate since the story came to light last weekend.

Sabato is not expecting the controversy to be mentioned by all of the candidates on the stage, but I think anything is possible and probable in politics. I do expect someone to use this as a low blow, and if they do I predict that candidate will be highly criticized for it. I would look to Perry, Bachmann or even Santorum to do it. Perry because he can’t help imploding during debates and the other two because they have nothing to lose. However that would be a mistake because my guess is the audience would probably side with Cain.

Bachmann is the only one who has offered any criticism of Cain on the harassment charges. Bachmann was one of the first candidates to confront the charges, saying on Tuesday that the GOP’s presidential nominee must not have any skeletons in the closet. “This is the year when we can’t have any surprises with our candidate,” Bachmann said addressing a meeting of Baptists in Marshalltown, Iowa. Oh, please lets not invoke our “Christian values” and let he without sin cast the first stone.

As the voting begins in under two months, Republicans will get deadly serious about picking someone who can actually go toe to toe with Obama and win. Cain’s campaign needs to get its act together as the caucuses and primaries fast approach.

Organization will begin to matter a lot more, and although some Cain supporters say that Cain is weak in that area. I see no evidence of that.

Cain’s team is getting busy, rushing to his side. His “9-9-9 Fund” super-pac has come out with a video which defends Cain’s record on this issue.

The video features Rush Limbaugh attacking the media for going after the black conservative candidate and shows liberals on the attack against Cain.

The super-pac told CNN Saturday that a short version of the video will appear next week in TV ads in Iowa and that there will also be robocalls made to voters in Iowa and Nebraska in the next week. The Iowa caucuses are January 3rd and Nevada’s caucuses take place February 4th.

The super-pac was formed last month to help Cain’s efforts in the early primaries and caucuses.

CAIR ties to Occupy Wall Street in Orlando, and The Muslim Brotherhood.

Right from their facebook page is this mission statement:

Like our brothers and sisters in Egypt, Greece, Spain, and Iceland, we plan to use the revolutionary Arab Spring tactic of mass occupation to restore democracy in America. We also encourage the use of nonviolence to achieve our ends and maximize the safety of all participants.

The mission statement itself points to the “Arab Spring tactic” given the latest announcements by Tunisia, Egypt, and Libya about it reverting to Shari’a Law compliant states who can say THAT tactic was successful? For those of you who do not know the horrors of Sharia Law just click on the highlighted word for a definition, but because I don’t want you to miss the point of this story thiese are two things Sharia Law has publicly announced as it’s main objectives in the United States.

 

  1. Sharia requires all its adherents to actively and passively support the replacement of America’s constitutional republic, including the representative government of this state with a political system based upon sharia.
  2. Sharia in particular includes a war doctrine known as jihad, which is an organic, intrinsic and central feature of the laws and traditions of sharia due to a consensus among sharia authorities throughout the ages.

 

Some want to say the word Jihad means ‘inner struggle’ but that is not how the word has been used through the ages by             Muslims. Why change it now? Quite possible to use it in a passive way against us as described above using another tactic known as Al-Taqiyya.

I hope you watch the video in its’ entirety because if Occupy Wall Street is being managed and organized by C.A.I.R. Then we are just a few steps away from declaring Shari’a Law in our own country. If you think I am crazy to say this then realize this. Muslims are the fastest growing population in the US even at a faster rate than Hispanics (although at this time there are more Hispanics in the US that will shift in 20 years) all they need is to gain a foothold and their dream of bringing down the U.S Constitution to replace it with Sharia could easily become our nightmare. What can you do? Become informed. Be sure to VOTE for people who adhere to the U.S Constitution, and please share this story EVERYWHERE. IT is not national news yet. Iran’s Terrorism Exposed!

What if Iranian officer Gholam Shakuri had succeeded; via his agents in assassinating the Saudi Ambassador in Washington, perhaps even blowing up the Saudi Arabian embassy there?

When it came time to point the finger I admit I wouldn’t have been surprised if Al Qaeda had carried out an operation such as this, not because I am prejudiced, but because the general context of such an attack, as well as the prevailing logic and the organization’s history, all support it carrying out such operations.

The Quds Force, commanded by General Qassem Suleimani, has had a hand in a series of operations and actions across the region, and has been dubbed the Iranian , as it is Tehran’s between the world of light and the world of darkness, or between the realm of countries and states, and that of groups. It is the illegitimate face of the Iranian regime, the gateway to terrorism and off-the-book “black” operations. The Quds Force is nothing more or less than the dark side of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

As for General Suleimani, he is none other than the custodian of Iraqi politics and security, and he governs the country from somewhere on the Iranian – Iraqi border. The Quds Force has an unmistakable presence in Baghdad’s impenetrable Green Zone, via Iranian agents stationed there.

We can clearly see General Qassem Suleimani’s fingerprints in our region, from Hezbollah in Lebanon to the Shiite militias in Iraq to the sleeper cells in the Gulf, the Huthi rebels in Yemen, and the loyalist groups in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The danger of the foiled terrorist operation in Washington, which targeted the Saudi ambassador and embassy, is that Iran could easily have gotten away with this. Even more dangerous than this, is that this foiled terrorist operation raises a question that is nearly impossible to answer, namely: what other operations have the Quds Force – or other Iranian intelligence apparatus – carried out in the region which others have been blamed for? What about the assassination of a Saudi diplomat in Karachi last May?

 

The mistake of Iran’s agents in Washington was akin to a slipup made by a master thief who has grown complacent after the fourth or fifth successful burglary. For during the initial operations, the thief would be very careful and alert, but if he continued not to get caught, he might grow complacent or start to take greater risks, until he is caught.

Iran is not so dumb that it would seek to carry out an operation of this kind for the first time. There are two major issues that clearly explain why Iran would try this. Firstly, it is clear that the Iranian [intelligence] apparatus previously successfully carried out operations such as this – worldwide – that have not been traced back to it. Therefore, they laboured under the delusion that this operation would be like its predecessors. Secondly, and more importantly in my view, the Iranians have found themselves facing intense regional pressure, with their Syrian ally facing internal problems, the [Arab] Gulf victory in Bahrain, not to mention the Huthi setback in Yemen. Therefore, this assassination attempt was a desperate bid to turn the tables and preoccupy Saudi Arabia and the US with something new, by framing Al Qaeda for this operation.

 

In short, this failed operation uncovered what was hidden, exposed the language of lies and hypocrisy and revealed the truth of this confrontation.

 

Yes, a state of covert war exists between Saudi Arabia and Iran on the one hand and between Iran and the international community on the other, and I do not believe that the international community will allow Iran to capitalize on the regional vacuum and overrun the Middle East.

We have moved from one condition to another and so our policies, rhetoric and positions must reflect this. It is absolutely imperative that this happens, there is no other option.

 

One last word to those who promote the Iranian claim – being repeated by the Muslim Brotherhood – that this whole story is nothing more than a fabrication and a lie. Is the US – which uncovered this plot via Justice Department – a banana republic, like Syria, not possessing any oversight bodies able to uncover the most basic of lies?

I sat there with Franklin. We sat there, we two.

I wished, at that moment, for somebody new.

The “big tent” Republicans kept expanding the state.

And the health of our country was quite far from great.

We looked at the TV, and saw him thereat.

He said to us “Why are you frowning like that?”

But we can have fun with OTHER PEOPLE’S MONEY!

“I know some good games we could play” said the cat

Then Franklin and I did not know what to say.

Of course it might mean that grandma must go,

Palin opposed the 2010 health care reform package, saying it would lead to rationing of health care by a bureaucracy, which she described using the term “death panels”. This legislation is the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, as modified by the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010. Palin characterizes the act as an “unfunded mandate”, and supports defunding it. Palin supports repeal of portions of the act.

Palin is a strong supporter of Israel. Referring to Iran’s threat to Israel, Palin said Obama would be reelected if “he played the war card. Say he decided to declare war on Iran or decided really come out and do whatever he could to support Israel, which I would like him to do.”

Palin opposes same-sex marriage, abortion including in cases of rape and incest, and embryonic stem cell research. She supports capital punishment, and parental consent for female minors seeking an abortion, and supports creationism being taught as an option in public schools.

Palin supports sex education in public schools that encourage abstinence along with contraception.

A Life Member of the National Rifle Association (NRA), Palin interprets the Second Amendment as including the right to handgun possession, and opposes bans on semi-automatic assault weapons. and supports gun safety education for youth.

Palin supports off-shore drilling, and land-based drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. When commenting on the Gulf Coast oil disaster Palin said, “I repeat the slogan ‘drill here, drill now.’” She said, “I want our country to be able to trust the oil industry.” Palin asked supporters to read an article by Thomas Sowell which criticized Obama for having BP pay to an escrow fund.

Palin has expressed skepticism about the causes of global warming, but agrees that “man’s activities certainly can be contributing to the issue” and that action should be taken. She is opposed to cap-and-trade proposals, such as the American Clean Energy and Security Act, a bill still pending in the Senate. Palin has acknowledged that “Simply waiting for low-carbon-emitting renewable capacity to be large enough will mean that it will be too late to meet the mitigation goals..that will be required [for carbon dioxide] under most credible climate-change models.”

On foreign policy, Palin supported the Bush Administration’s policies in Iraq, but is concerned that “dependence on foreign energy” may be obstructing efforts to “have an exit plan in place”. Palin supports preemptive military action in the face of an imminent threat, and supports U.S. military operations in Pakistan. Palin supports NATO membership for Ukraine and Georgia, and affirms that if Russia invaded a NATO member, the United States should meet its treaty obligations.

On foreign policy, Palin supported the surge strategy in Iraq, the use of additional ground forces in Afghanistan, and, in general, maintaining a strong defensive posture by increasing the defense budget. She supports strengthening America’s alliance with Japan. She supports the de-nuclearization of North Korea. She supports free trade and wants to work with China to reduce American debt and improve the human rights and political freedom of its citizens.
